Abstract
Islamic education demonstrates the relationship of the Arab nation to Islam. God chose it to carry its message and spread it among the nations. This message painted the image of the happy Islamic society, and it showed that it is a good citizen in the society. The effective living means taken to build this society, towards good work. And the rule of good and forbidding evil, and balanced between spirit and material and linked theory to practical reality compared to the Islamic community.

Therefore, it was necessary to find an ideal teaching method in the hands of teachers through which the teaching of Islamic education in all stages of education, because the modern educational outlook aims to take into account the students’ tendencies and their psychological orientation. Thus, new strategies have emerged in the teaching methods, including problem solving and collaborative learning methods, which are modern teaching methods. Positive results in many experimental studies have shown that students’ performance is improved, their ideas and suggestions are accepted, and common conscious decisions are taken.

So the current search is limited to:

Identify the two methods (problem solving and cooperative learning) and their importance in teaching the Islamic education. As a modern methods of teaching, with educational applications, the division of research into three chapters, namely:

Chapter One: Definition of research

Chapter Two: Background Theory

Chapter Three: practical applications, represented in the form of typical lessons dealt with the teaching of Islamic education using two methods (problem solving and collaborative learning)
