The effect of the Woods model on the achievement of chemistry and the development of mental skills among fourth-grade students

Research Summary:-

The current research aims at identifying (the effect of the Woods model in the collection of chemistry and the development of mental skills among students in the fourth grade). Recent models of the Woods Woods model are currently under study. Which focuses on the exercise of mental skills (prediction – observation – interpretation) sequentially by the learner.

Therefore, the current research aims to:

1 – To recognize the impact of the Woods model in the achievement of students in the fourth grade in chemistry.

2 – to identify the impact of the Woods model in the development of mental skills among students in the fourth grade in chemistry.

To achieve the goal of research, the researcher developed two hypotheses:

There is no statistically significant difference at (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group who study the chemistry according to the Woods model and the average score of the students of the control group who study chemistry according to the traditional method.

2. There is no statistically significant difference (0.05) between the average score of female students who study chemistry according to the Woods model in developing mental skills, and the average score of students in the control group who study chemistry according to the traditional way of developing mental skills.

In order to achieve the research objective and hypotheses, the researcher chose a experimental design with partial control of experimental and control groups. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researcher prepared a multivariate selection test with four alternatives of (28) paragraphs, verifying his veracity and verifying his content by presenting him to a group of experts and specialists The experiment was applied during the academic year (2015-2016) and the experiment lasted 11 weeks. After the experiment was completed, the data were analyzed statistically using the t-test and man-independent samples and the Huitt equation.

The results of the study showed that the members of the experimental group surpassed their peers in the control group with a significant significance in the achievement.
